I make clothes. I do not make art. Clothes are meant to be worn, lived in, and integrated into daily life. But I do not make fast clothing, and I do not use new fabric.

The Luxury of Scarcity and Labor
When people ask how to justify the value of an upcycled piece, the answer isn’t found in a luxury marketing buzzword. It is found in the physical reality of the craft.
To take an existing garment apart, rip the seams, re-engineer the pattern, and reconstruct it into a totally new silhouette requires more time, discipline, and another kind of technical skill than cutting fresh fabric from a roll. It is rigorous manual labor.
Because of this process, the value of each piece is built on two uncompromised facts:
Material with Memory: The vintage denim or salvaged textile carries its own history, its own wash, and its own texture. You cannot simulate this depth in a factory.
Legible Construction: The seams, the mends, and the structural choices are visible. This is fair craft making – full transparency in what the garment took to build, with nothing about the process concealed.
Upcycling is not just one thing.
